Well, let me tell you! A nomad has no fixed home but wanders from place to place—a constant state of wandering.
Starting my business in the Midwest, my spring, summer, and fall were jam-packed with weddings and sessions, but in the winter months, I didn't have anything in my schedule due to the weather. Not everyone wants to freeze their booty off for the shot (including me). Due to this significant part of the year off, I found my passion for travel. During the off-season, I could travel, market my business, continue to take epic photographs, and book clientele for the next season; on top of that, I was living a life I never imagined possible for myself.
The off-season became my travel time, but that life became the dream very quickly. I made that dream a reality after traveling to 16 countries, 5 continents, and 19 US states. I started taking work in specific areas for 1-2 month increments and left space for potential traveling work.
2024 is a year with no set home base, making myself my home and traveling around the world in hopes of finding my forever home. From my friends and family all over the world and a hint of remote work, I am able to travel based on where my clients take me.
No place for too long but long enough to document your monumental moments.
